Late last year I had the honor and privilege to be with a nice group of Realtors in the Gold Canyon area. I spoke with them about the little things they can do to keep themselves protected while doing their job.
With the economy in this sad state, people are resorting to some crazy things to survive so we all need to know how to stay safe and avoid becoming a victim of violence. I hope the information I shared with the group was helpful and may you never have to use any of the techniques that were discussed that day. However, it is always better to be prepared than not.
So you might be wondering what we learned that day. Well to make a long story short, we first learned how to take a defensive posture without inviting further aggression. We then learned how to use your open hand and fingers as defensive weapons to distract or disable the attacker and gain distance between themselves and the attacker. Finally, we identified the vulnerable parts of the body and how to use our new found knowledge and the element of surprise to fight back and not become a victim.
Does anyone else out there have any stories they would like to share or any questions for me? I would really like to help as many people has possible so please leave some comments or share a story with us.
